Since early 2000, Performance Freediving International Inc (PFI) has instructed over 1500 students from Snorkeler to Advanced Freediving levels as well as running a 12-week Advanced Freediving Research Project at Simon Fraser University, which is now entering its seventh year.

 

Along with this success, Team PFI are world record athletes with team members having held seventeen world records since Dec of 1999. They have ventured so far as training and providing safety for New York magician David Blaine, helping him achieve the impossible during his 24 hour live special "Drowned Alive" which aired on ABC in May of this past year.

World class athletes such as golfer Tiger Woods and many professional surfers have sought them out for their expertise and world class training programs. Now, they’re expanding their system of education so others may access their many years of experience.

Performance Freediving International (PFI), after careful planning and development, has launched Instructor Training specific programs to help further develop and provide safe, quality training for an ever growing demand of freediving consumer.

"Since our inception, we've always worked towards creating instructor level programs that would focus on a quality educational system that is focused 100% on the specific and varied needs of breath-hold diving enthusiasts", says PFI President and Founder, Kirk Krack.

PFI recreational programs begin with a half day Snorkeler to full day Skin-diver course. The Basic Freediver program runs two to three days, while both the Intermediate and Advanced Freediving programs are run over three to five days, depending upon student experience and development.
