Conch Republic Divers / Spanish Main Treasure / Treasure Divers TV. What do all these companies have in common? They are all owned an operated by Capt Gary and Admiral Brenda Mace of the Florida Keys. The Mace’s bought Conch Republic Divers 4 years ago and in that short time was awarded by the readers of Scuba Diving Magazine as the number one dive shop in the entire Florida Keys for 2006 and 2007.

During their 4 years they have also partnered with Carl “Fizz” Fismer owner of Spanish Main Treasure Company to research, look for, and recover Spanish artifacts. They are currently working on leases in Florida and overseas based on information from noted historian/researcher Jack Haskins. They are also looking to partner with deep wreck diver John Chatterton on some of the projects in and around Florida. “We’re very excited about working with John, he brings a diverse array of tools that we can use to locate and recover treasure”, Mace says. They are looking to employ high tech underwater remote sensing equipment to help narrow the search for a target. This type of technology can even help determine if a target is worth getting wet over.

Fismer and Mace have also completed 6 one hour episodes of their new TV show Treasure Divers. TREASURE DIVERS is the first HD television series to provide an inside look at the little known and rarely filmed world of underwater treasure excavation. Throughout the series, shipwreck treasure historian Carl ‘Fizz’ Fismer and dive instructor Captain Gary Mace will troll a host of underwater wrecks in search of riches, both monetary and historic. Traveling in research and recovery vessels, Fismer, Mace and the crew will visit various wreck sites throughout the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. John Chatterton joins the Treasure Divers in episode 5 as they look for a reported ballast pile on Florida’s East coast. What they fine is very intriguing. Airing on DishNetwork’s high definition channel TreasureHD, Treasure Divers premiered on August 19th, 2007.
