What
does “Primary” mean?
“Primary insurance” means there is no middle-man.DiveAssure pays
service providers directly (i.e. air ambulance, hospital,
recompression chamber etc.) or reimburses you in
full for payments made by you, regardless of any other insurance
you may have which may or may not cover the incident..

DiveAssure programs are the only travel & diving accident programs that are primary.
If you have a policy that is not primary insurance, processing your claim may take a long time, and you may be required to finance your own evacuation/medical bills, which can run tens of thousands dollars. Additionally, a diving related claim can have an effect on your personal health insurance record, which in turn can increase your premiums and deductibles

What
level is right for me?
Since programs can be upgraded, pick
your trip protection level according to the cost of your
next planned diving trip (transportation +
accommodation per person). For example, if your
next trip per person cost is $1700 for a live-aboard
+ $1250 airfare and transport, the right plan for you would be the Diamond $3000.
If later
this year you will be going on a more expensive trip,
we would then suggest upgrading to a higher level of trip cancellation/interruption coverage.

What
is considered a diving vacation?
Our policy defines diving vacation as:
A vacation spent outside your city of residence,
in a diving resort or diving facility and/or
specifically includes diving.

How
long does it take to get covered?
Minutes! Simply complete the online
registration form, submit payment, and…you’re done! Coverage
is immediate and a confirmation email will be
sent to you upon registration.
|

What
is the right time to register?
It is highly recommended to renew your
membership continuously so you are never without
dive accident coverage. If you are looking to sign
up in relation to an upcoming trip, the sooner you
register, the sooner your vacation investment is
protected. We recommend registering upon
submitting the first payment for your diving vacation,
or as soon as possible after.

What
about tropical storms?
Travel protection through DiveAssure’s
Diamond membership will cover a member’s diving
vacation investment if severe weather conditions
directly affect his/her travel arrangements or
accom¬mo¬dations. For example, if the member is
forced to cancel a trip due to a hurricane, travel
insurance with trip cancellation can provide a
reimbursement for nonrefundable expenses, up to
the limit of coverage purchased. If severe weather forces the
evacuation of the member’s hotel or resort, the
travel insurance can provide reimbursement for
nonrefundable expenses, and additional travel
expenses. For
losses to be covered, membership must be purchased
before a tropical storm is forecasted or predicted
for the destination of the trip. Losses resulting
from a storm that has been forecasted or predicted
on or before the effective date of coverage are
excluded. Claims will be evaluated on their own
merits at the time of adjudication.

24-Hour Medical
Assistance Hot Line: AIGAssist® provides
24-Hour Worldwide Medical Information and
Assistance, multilingual assistance and
consultation along with non-diving related
medical referrals to physicians, hospitals and
specialists. |
Medical Evacuation:
AIGAssist® will make arrangements for any
and all means necessary to transport the Insured
back home when medically necessary.

Emergency Medical
Payments: If a Hospital demands a cash
deposit or settlement prior to leaving,
AIGAssist® will arrange the advancement of funds
to cover on-site Medical Expenses.

24-Hour Medical
Monitoring: Physicians monitor the
Insured’s condition by maintaining close contact
with the attending physicians, his/her family
Physician, and Immediate Family Members.

Return of Dependent

pay for one-way economy airfare to return
children home if you become ill or injured and
cannot attend to their needs.

Return of Traveling
