Funding Opportunities
Alaska Sea Grant funding
The normal funding cycle for the Alaska Sea Grant College Program is biennial. The next call for preliminary proposals will be January 2007 for funding beginning February 2008. However, program development and rapid response funds are sometimes available between normal funding cycles:
* to stimulate and develop new areas of research by bringing together scientists to debate and assess new approaches
* to stimulate new areas of investment by the university
* to respond quickly to new issues and opportunities that arise
* to accommodate transition problems during startup and termination of projects in synchronization with the academic year
After discussing your ideas with Brian Allee, director, please fill in the development fund request form to assist us in determining whether development funds may be available.
For information on research recently funded by Alaska Sea Grant, please see our project directory.
